Journey home

I'll tell you more about the journey home later. Right I'm uploading 160 or so videos that I couldn't add in before.
(Little update on videos below.) The one with Angel crying is because we were promised a window seat, and then we got one, but there was no actual window. How do you explain to a 6 year old, tired from a huge journey there's nothing you can do. The stewardess tried to help and we asked this lady, but she was very disturbed and said "No, I specifically reserved this seat!" In the end she changed but only if I promised to keep Angel quiet, which of course she was, she's a very good girl and good traveller. Three people, everyone in the row behind us changed...it was very sweet, but one reasone I know the middle lady changed, was because there was a child behind her(later me) kicking the seat. Anyways all was well in the end. (Actually every time we watch this we laugh so hard...So times the best way to debrief a situation I have found, is to record it and let her watch it...we always get a big kick out of it!!!)

The other videos are of Angel playing in a sack, that we would use to take home our stuff because I didn't have money for another suitcase. It worked really well, just an old sugar sack, but I was so pleased to get it. I was worried how I was going to manage, as Angel insisted we bring all her treasures, & toys from Mexico. The other is a birthday party we went to ...that was very nice, but foot was really bothering me, and I got sick after, not sure if it was the pain or medicine or what.

Galo y Lupita singing to Flo on her Birthday! It's to dark to see, but it sounds real pretty.

The boogie board was a huge dilemma and ended up costing more than the price of the board to bring home.

The Bee Doctor

So here's a little video of the Bee Doctor. Angel loves to rescue drowning bees.

I got stung yesterday on the bottom of my foot. Really hurts. Got some bendryl but it's still very swollen. I was just laying by the pool and i guess he was having a little drink of water, and i accidently put my foot on him..and owwwwweeeeeeee! I had a bad sting on my foot 2 years ago in Nelson on the other foot.

Angel on the otherhand, was rescuing a bee yesterday too, but the little thing fell back into the water and then got some ecalyptus oil on it, that i was using for my foot. So she was getting the little guy upset, and he finally stung her on the finger...she's says...ow mom now i got stung.

I am almost certain she did it as an experiment. She shows me her finger and there is this big stinger in it. I pull it out and put her finger in ice. A little while later she's fine.

She says "I don't think i can bee a bee doctor if i get stung " and is about to cry. And i said "Honey, i know that now more than ever before you can, because your not allergic."
This was Angel's first Bee Experience in Nelson the year before.

Dolphin Therapy

I like this idea alot. Of course i would love swim with the dolphins and Angel too! but at $100 US it's not going to happen. Here's a beautiful idea though. I don't know this organization, just saw it posted in the internet, but i have heard about dolphin therapy and think it's awesome.

Calling home

Here's Angel talking to Poppa Webby!

Ahhh!!

Snug as a bug in a rug...after a long swim in the pool...you only know there's a little Angel in there as her toes are peaking out.

Flamencos Dancers at Karen's Restaurant-Bucerias

Bucerias is so different than Zipolite, it really caters to a retired Canadians & Americans, and it's a good place to come if it's your first visit to Mexico I guess, as it would be comforting and not to huge of culture shock. The music and atmosphere is so radically different in Zipolite with lots of international visitors and drumming and well it's a backpackers paradise. So to give you an idea, they were playing music outside our room at this teahouse and it was so slow and sad it made Angel start crying. But last night it was really great to see the flamenco dancers and a very kind gentleman took us for dessert to a place with Jazz and the lady sang songs from Holly Cole so that was better.

Flamenco Dancers

Finally we did something cultural last night. There were flamenco dancers at Karen's Restaurant and they were awesome, I will post there names later today. There is one photo here that is so beautiful, i hope to paint it in acrylics one day. I have a couple videos, let's see if they go up.

P.V.

So we went to P.V. yesterday, wow, forgot how much things have changed and was amazed at the huge stores everywhere, we didn't actually make it right into town. We just went to a few stores and could not find what we needed. I wanted to print my Adventures of Angel biz cards but they were out of photopaper, so we will try again thursday. And i couldn't find any watercolour paper, but an artist here told me where to look, so hopefully i can get a bit and paint a few paintings before i go. Ran into an old friend last night that I have not seen since I was last here, Mary Carmen so that was really great. I took this photo of our friend Mark getting his shoes shines, mucho trabaja por solemente 20 pesos pobre Oscar. And that's Trombone in front of the Boutique. Well not to many new photos, it got really cloudy yesterday in the after noon, i wish we had gone to town then instead of the morning, it was very hot. We took the buses, only 10 pesos, it was $170 pesos for the taxi from the bus depot to Bucerias. Okay my darlings, smile and the world smiles with you. Muchos Besos, habla mas luego, I will talk more later. P.S this is Angel watching Diego in Spanish and eating an ice cream at the pool.

Beautiful Mexican Handicrafts

Pretty Things in Zihua

While we did not have a good experience at the Zihuamar (never stay there is our advice) and the first taxi driver from the bus depot (Fernando) tried to rip us off, and the second one too!

The others were nice and we met nice people in the tiendas, internet and fruit stand. Here are some pretty photos.

This one is cool! Parking for Future Mamas! What an awesome idea!

Gracias Loray!!

We just want to send out a huge THANK YOU! to Loray and her family. Gracias por todo!
They gave a whole bunch of food because they were leaving and it was so wonderful, it felt like Christmas last night.

Give and it comes back to you. We left a bunch of things in Zipolite, food, baskets, kite, all sorts and now here it is being returned in a form of something we need.

Karma. We have good karma, it is be proved over and over.
Be Positive! The power of being and staying positive is proved over and over to me. Everything will turn out if you just project positive.

Gracias to all my friends, family and God and Angels and all the positive powers that be.

Catching some air

Yesterday there were all these kites surfers and the beach was alive with people, today it's quiet, and i am feeling lonely and missing Zipolite. When you live somewhere for 4 months it's hard to move....especially when you really love it and have friends. Here we have friends and people are kind, but i guess i am just tired, and maybe we are gearing down and getting ready for the trip home...anyways here is the cool video i took yesterday. Maybe i just need a glass of red wine and my fave movies, Under the Tuscan Sun, and A Good Year!!

Thing is i don't exactly have our accomadations fiqured out and so not sure what i can afford to treat myself to! Martin when are you going to visit!! We're lonely!! I want to see your family!! Angel wants to meet Tio Martin!!

I miss Zipolite

It is a different world here in P.V.
I miss Zipolite.

My Paintings

Here are the last of my painting from Zipolite, i gave away alot. and will probably give these away too, so i thought i would post them, there in plastic so not that clear but you get the idea!

Bucerias

Costa Dorada

Ahhh! The Costa Dorada in Bucerias....so lovely!! I love pool! I love the beds, so soft and comfy. We stayed here a few nights but are moving some where else...here are some pics. I build the website for this place 8 years ago...it has been changed but the layout i did is the same. Here are some of my pics.

The Jimenez family is very kind and generous and lovely people. I am hoping to see my dear friend Martin, I have not seen him since i was here 7 years ago. Hurry up Martin!!

Marks Bar & Grill

I have known Mark for 20 years. Bucerias has changed so much. I was shocked but I expected to be. Mark used clean his place up every time he came back because someone had used it while he was gone...then it was a sports bar and the only restaurant on the street and now apparently there are 18. The main street here is paved in big cobble stones and his restauraunt serves really fancy food and has been voted "best" in all sorts of categories.

He was very kind to us when we visited the other night and shared wine with me and gave Angel a beautiful piece of chocolate cake. Muchas Gracias Mark!!

Art Walk

We went on an art walk on the first night here, saw some beautiful work. This is by Christie at A Broken Art, in the end there will be more that 17000 pieces i think she said...300hrs of work. Increble!

Here We Are!! In Bucerias!!!

After a 16 hr bus ride we are in Beautiful Bucerias. Angel did great on the trip. If i had known it was going to be so long i would not have taken it, but they told me 12 hrs and we have done lots of those and it was at night. the buses in Mexico are awesome, the one we took from acapulco to zihua was a volvo. The thing to remember about the bus is to wear pants and have a sweater or blanket, they keep it really cool so people do not not vomit, because the rides are usually super windy...we take dramamine.

More Zihua photos

Photos of the day!

So i am checking my email and there is no info yet and since i have to pay for an hour, i might as well put up some photos. While i might not have had a very good first impression was not very good, considering the taxi driver and the hotel, we have met some very nice people. The girl at the internet this morning was really nice (Leslie) and i will add that info later, and the boys at the fruit stand were really kind and generous. So here are those pics for now. oh and the fish market was very coool. Angel loved looking at the big fish.
